At ACT Expo 2025, the JETSI project hosted automotive technology students from Rio Hondo College, Los Angeles Trade Technical College, and the Miguel Contreras Foundation. Students engaged directly with project partners including Electrify America, Black & Veatch, Daimler Truck North America, Volvo Trucks North America, NFI, Schneider, Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator, and ChargerHelp!.
Through live demonstrations, Q&A sessions, and technology showcases, students learned about heavy-duty battery-electric vehicles, electric truck charging equipment, and workforce pathways in clean transportation. They also gained insight into the latest industry advancements, interacted with leading companies exhibiting at ACT Expo, and received information on career opportunities within this rapidly evolving sector.
The educational tour was supported by South Coast Air Quality Management District, California Energy Commission, and California Air Resources Board as part of the JETSI project.
By connecting students with industry leaders at ACT Expo, JETSI aims to support a skilled workforce ready to build, service, and maintain the transition to clean transportation.
